SYNTEGON’S INTERNATIONAL HR DIRECTORS VISIT P.C.C.E., VERNA

Mr. Tobias Weyman, HR-Director, Syntegon for Asia, Europe and Africa and Mr. Philipp Fleisher, HR- Lead for Compensation and Benefits, visited Padre Conceicao College of Engineering (PCCE), for interactive sessions with the Principal, Heads of Department, faculty and students on 1st December 2021. They were accompanied by Mr. Sudan Surlakar, Deputy General Manager, and Mr. Derek D’Souza, Asst. Manager HR, at Syntegon Goa.

 

At the onset, Dr. Mahesh Parappagoudar, Principal of PCCE, briefed the distinguished guests about Agnel Charities and PCCE, Goa. Dr. Jayalaxmi Devate, Head of ETC/EComp Engineering and Dr. Geetalaxmi K, Head of Mechanical engineering presented the facilities and accomplishments of their respective programmes. Ms. Razia Sardinha, Asst. Professor and Training and Placement Officer, presented PCCE’s placement highlights. Dr. Stephen Baretto, Dr. Joe Kurian, Dr. Supriya Patil, Ms. Alzira Xavier and Mr. Dattaprakash Verlekar also attended the session. The presentations were followed by refreshments and an informal interaction between the members.

 

Thereafter, the Syntegon team was taken on a campus tour and shown PCCE’s high technology laboratories, like ETC department’s Robotics Center and Mechanical department’s Machining and Rapid Prototyping Center (MARC). The Syntegon team also interacted with Team BHP, PCCE’s multi-National-award winning Robotics Club.

 

The final event was an interactive seminar by team Syntegon for the students. Mr. Tobias presented the global picture of Syntegon, while Mr. Sudan presented the growth and success of Syntegon in Goa. The presentations were followed by a Q&A session for the impressed students.

 

The entire visit was planned and organised by PCCE Training and Placement Office, headed by Ms. Razia Sardinha and her enthusiastic team of Ms.  Okstynn RodriguesMs.Fiona Coutinho, Ms. Raksha Kamat and Mr. Dattaprakash Verlekar. We thank Mr. Sudan Surlakar from Syntegon for his support throughout.

It was indeed a memorable visit, further enhancing the wonderful industry-academia connect between PCCE and Syntegon.
