Workshop on Introduction to BlockChain Technology

The ACE student chapter of the Computer Engineering department at Padre Conceição College of Engineering conducted a Hands-on Workshop on Introduction to BlockChain Technology on  25^th May 2022. The speaker for the event was Mr Elio Jordon Lopez, a full stack Blockchain engineer and Researcher. The workshop was attended by 25 students of  FE, SE and TE and was co-ordinated by Ms. Suhana Kamat and Mr.Aayush Anand, both students of TE Comp.

The event began with the release of the 4th Edition of the ACE Magazine by  Principal Dr Mahesh B. Parapagoudar in the presence of the resource person Mr Elio Jordon Lopez and  ACE Faculty Coordinators Ms Louella Mesquita Colaco and Ms Meghana Pai Kane. This was followed by the three hour hands-on session. Mr. Elio covered a number of concepts which included Introduction to Blockchains, Cryptocurrencies, dApps & dApp architecture, understanding Solidity, RemixIDE, wallets, Deploying contracts to Celo using Truffle and solving a bitcoin bounty to earn 1CELO~ $1.3 (real money).
