ACE INSTALLATION CEREMONY

On Wednesday 12^th October 2022, ACE organized a Seminar on “DevOps” by Mr. Durgadas Kamath, Senior Architect at Persistent Systems,Goa. The Event began with the installation of ACE student council for the academic year 2022-23. The elected core student council Mr.Aayush Anand (BE Comp.), Mr. Vivek Paste (TE Comp.),

Mr. Gaurang Madkaikar(SE Comp.), Mr. Palaash Naik (SE Comp.) and Ms. Shaheen Nayakodi (BE Comp.) took the oath for the post of President, Vice -President, Secretary, Treasurer and Editor respectively. They pledged to work to the best of their abilities and serve as an example of this organization’s philosophy.

After the swearing in ceremony, Mr. Durgadas Kamath began with his Talk on “DevOps”. He shared valuable information and knowledge on what is “DevOps” and how it has helped in software development culture. “DevOps” is an approach to software development, where the development team i.e Dev collaborates with the operations department i.e. Ops in all the stages of software development. He also shared some advantages of DevOps such as how it helps to shorten the production cycles, increase deployment success rate, improve collaboration and communication. It increases efficiency through automation.

The audience comprised of the students from second and third year Computer Engineering department. The talk was followed by a Q&A session in which the students interacted with the speaker and got their queries clarified.  The vote of thanks was presented by Mr. Aayush Anand, President of the ACE student council.
