ARDUINO WORKSHOP

The Robotics, Automation and Coding Engineers (RACE) club organized and conducted a Arduino workshop for the third year mechanical engineering students on the 26th of August 2023 at PCCE. The workshop began at 9.30 am in the Ecomp lab 7 with the chairperson Mrs. Rohini Korti addressing the students about the club and what to expect from the workshop.

The workshop was divided into a theory and practical session, where the theory session was taught by Prof. Sailesh Khanolkar (Ecomp dept) followed by the Practical Arduino application session conducted by Prof. Amay Desai (Ecomp Dept) with the aid of RACE club members Varad Naik (TE Ecomp) and Shivam Vishwakarma (SE Ecomp).

The RACE club members played a major role in educating their fellow peers of the mechanical department by helping them learn the process of programming the arduino and interfacing the arduino microcontroller with LED’s, LDR’S and Ultrasonic sensors. The members shared their knowledge and experiences which they gained by using arduinos for college projects and inter collegiate competitions like a line follower robot etc. We then wrapped up the session by watching the race club members project and competition videos.

Refreshments were provided by the ECOMP department during the 11 am and 3 pm breaks.

The workshop was a huge success and will be held again for a higher level of arduino program learning.
