WEBINAR ON GIT AND GIT HUB

The Department of Information Technology organized a webinar on GIT and GITHUB on 4^th July 2020.The webinar was open to all students from PCCE. Total of 107 students registered for the event. The speaker for the webinar were Mr.Sanket Phansekar, Module Lead at Persistent Systems Mr.Prabhav Thali, Senior Software Engineer at Persistent System .Speakers are Distinguished Alumnus of PCCE. Speakers discussed various aspects of GIT and GIT HUB that can help students to work in industry and also an abundant help for their projects to work in a team. Important points covered in the webinar were Branch Management, Centralized version Control, GIT standards, Merge Conflicts.

The webinar also encompassed hands on Training on how to create a GIT Repository, push the code into the repository. Various commands that can be used on the GIT Platform through command line were also demonstrated.

Webinar was interactive and instructive and most of the queries of the Participants were answered by the Speakers. This will encourage all the participants to utilize their time during this COVID Pandemic situation and brush up their skills.

The webinar is followed by Assignment for the students. Assignment are designed by our speakers. This will further help them expand their understanding about GIT and GITHUB.
