The World of Robotics

As part of the Vidnyan Dhara lecture series 2024, Dr. Rahul Ribeiro, HOD of the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering presented on the topic “The World of Robotics” to high school students of Maria Bambina Convent school, Cuncolim on 19th February, 2024. Accompanying him were two students of team Bhp robotics, who recently won the second prize in the 30kg war bot category at the QUARK technical festival of BITS Pilani, Goa.
The students and staff of Maria Bambina school were highly excited to learn about concepts, applications, types and history of robots from Dr. Ribeiro.
Thereafter, they were highly enthralled with the live demonstration of robots given by students Aaron Rebello and Gavin Rodrigues. The students and staff (including the Principal) had an “out of the world” experience operating the bots themselves.
