One-Day Workshop: Leveraging AI Tools for Teaching Pedagogy

The Electronics and Computer engineering department in association with Aarush, hosted a one-day workshop titled Leveraging AI Tools for Teaching Pedagogy in the PCCE Auditorium. The workshop was designed to equip educators with practical knowledge and tools to enhance their teaching methods using Artificial Intelligence (AI). Teachers from renowned institutions such as Carmel College, Verna, Goa University, Agnel Polytechnic, and Government College, Quepem actively participated in the event.

The core aim of the workshop was to introduce educators to AI-based tools that can be integrated into modern teaching methodologies. The event provided a platform for teachers to explore how AI can help optimize classroom management, enhance student engagement, and personalize the learning experience. By empowering educators with cutting-edge AI skills, the event sought to improve teaching efficacy and student outcomes across various institutions.

The workshop sessions were spearheaded by Dr. Amey Pangarkar, a leading expert in AI applications. Through interactive lectures and practical demonstrations, Dr. Pangarkar introduced attendees to several AI tools that could be utilized in teaching, such as:

  • AI-based student performance tracking systems,
  • Automated grading tools,
  • Virtual teaching assistants,
  • AI-driven adaptive learning platforms.

Participants were engaged in hands-on sessions that showcased the real-time implementation of AI tools in classroom settings. These exercises enabled teachers to better understand the functionality of these tools and how to tailor them to their respective subjects.

The event was efficiently managed by Team Exactas under the guidance of Professor Sanjeet S. Kanekar. Team Aarush played a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of logistics, from technical setup to participant engagement, making the event a success.

The workshop garnered overwhelmingly positive feedback from the attendees. Teachers expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to explore AI in depth and showed eagerness to incorporate the knowledge gained into their teaching practices.
