Report on Sessions Conducted During FE Induction Week
As part of the FE Induction Week, the department of Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) organised a workshop on Front End Development in AI held between 27th Jan 2026 to 31st Jan 2026. During the workshop, three informative and skill-oriented sessions were organized to familiarize first-year engineering students with emerging technologies and foundational technical skills. These sessions aimed to enhance students’ understanding of artificial intelligence tools, front-end development, and AI-assisted coding.
The first session was on Prompt Engineering and AI Tools conducted by Ms. Anaya Prabhu. The session covered key concepts of prompt engineering and introduced students to various AI tools such as ChatGPT, Grok, Gemini, Brisk, Claude, and Presentations.ai. The workshop provided students with hands-on exposure to designing effective prompts and demonstrated the practical and academic applications of AI tools. The session helped students understand how AI can be used responsibly and efficiently in their academic journey.
The second session was on Front End Development conducted by Ms. Anuja Tengse. She introduced students to the basic terminologies and concepts required for front-end development. The session covered HTML 5 and CSS 3 in detail, including essential tags used for creating websites. Students were also introduced to version control using GitHub, where they uploaded the programs written in HTML and CSS to their GitHub repositories. This session provided students with a strong foundation in web development and version control practices.
The third session was on Introduction to Cursor AI conducted by Ms. Megha Ainapurkar, Dr. Sufola Araujo, and Mr. Shaba Dessai .The session included an overview of Cursor AI, guidance on installing and setting up the tool, and an introduction to AI-assisted coding. Students also learned the basics of writing their first program using Cursor AI thereby gaining insight into how AI can support coding and programming tasks.
The sessions conducted during the FE Induction Week were highly beneficial and informative. They successfully introduced students to modern development tools, AI technologies, and essential technical skills, thereby preparing them for their academic and professional journey in engineering
