REPORT ON GANDHI JAYANTI (2ND OCT 2018)

PCCE NSS Cell celebrated Gandhi Jayanti on 2^nd October 2018. To emphasize ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ (SHS) under Swatch Bharat Mission and as a precursor to the launch of 150^th Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhiji,  the PCCE NSS Cell organised  a ‘Walkathon cum Awareness Drive’ on the topic ODF (Open Defecation Free) to realise the vision of clean India and to reinforce the principles of “Sanitation is everyone’s business” on 2^nd October 2018 from PCCE Verna Campus to Pirni,  Nagoa Market.

The Walkathon cum Awareness Drive’ started at 8.30AM from PCCE, Verna Goa Campus and it was flag off by Principal Dr. Mahesh B. Parappagoudar. A total of 40 NSS volunteers (14 girls and 26 boys) accompanied with 7 staff members participated in the drive. Students wore white t-shirts as a sign of  cleanliness and carried placards.
