The Department of mechanical engineering of PCCE conducted a webinar on ‘Genetic Algorithm for the Absolute Beginner’ on 9th Sept 2020.

Mr.B Nitin spoke about Genetic Algorithm (GA) as a search-based optimization technique based on the principles of Genetics and Natural Selection. He explain how frequently GA is used to find optimal or near-optimal solutions to difficult problems which otherwise would take a lifetime to solve.

The webinar saw participation of 68 particpant including 42 faculties from Amity Institute of Biotechnology, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow , Rizvi College of Engineering, Mumbai, SMSMPITR AKLUJ ,Assam University, Diphu Campus MGM JNEC Aurangabad, KCES’s College of Engineering & Management, Jalgaon, KLE Technological University, S.S.P.M’s College of Engineering, Kankavli, Govt.Engineering College haveri Karnataka, Vinayaka missions kirupananda variyar medical college and hospital Salem, Vishwatmak Om Gurudev College Of Engineering, Aghai, Shahapur, Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology and many more and students from PCCE.

Description about the Program:

On the inaugural function, Dr. Mahesh B. Parappagoudar, Principal ,PCCE Verna Participated as Chief Guest. In his Chief guest address, he emphasized the role of
GA in engineering domain and its importance in research.
