TECHYON2K20-THINKING TECHNICAL AND BEYOND AT PCCE
Padre Conceicao College of Engineering successfully hosted its first virtual state level technical event Techyon on 5th and 6th November 2k20 .The event was a roaring success that saw the participation of students across different engineering colleges in state.The tech fest provided students with a platform to exhibit their diverse skills,compete and learn through the various competitions held during the two days of the event.
The chief guest of the inaugural function was Mr Vincent Toscano,co –founder and managing partner of Uzoorba Technologies LLP who addressed the students on being competent and building the passion for engineering. The inaugural was also attended by the Director of PCCE Rev Fr Anthony Castello, principal Dr Mahesh Parrapagoudar, Registrar Dr Stephen Baretto,head of departments ,industry representatives ,alumini, staff and students of PCCE.
Techyon2k20 comprised of an ensemble of 20 events such as Code Crunch,Tech Masters,Weave the Web and Contraption to name a few each showcasing creativity at its best, signifying how to take innovation and technology to the next level. The association of companies Creative Capsule Infotech, SJ Innovation, Imagine Works, Hexcoderz, Conexao Technologies,Inhale Kapsloc.in and Clinify helped elevate Techyon2k20 through prize sponsorships and internship opportunities to students.
Events CodeCcrunch powered by Creative Capsule Infotech and Weave the Web powered by SJ Innovation were conceptualized, planned and executed by the event associates setting new benchmarks for coding contests.
An array of workshops were conducted that enabled students to connect with resource persons from the industry and enrich their knowledge base.

- Data Science
- Future in Engineering
These training sessions garnered huge response in terms of participation and were well appreciated by all the attendees.
The events were co-ordinated by the following faculty members – Mrs Ravina Quadros, IT department, Mrs Shona Afonso, Computer department, Mrs. Avita Lotliker, ETC department ,Mr. Guarak Phaldessai, Mechanical department and Mrs Komal Paroolkar, Humanities department.The overall faculty co-coordinator for TECHYON 2k20 was Mrs. Shona Afonso, Chairperson, Cultural Committee.
The success of Techyon2k20 was as a result of the collaboration of the management, staff ,alumni and students of PCCE.
