PCCE STUDENTS WIN SECOND PRIZE AT THE INDIA INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE FESTIVAL 2020

The project titled “Development of a Lifeguard assists Drone for coastal search and rescue” implemented by Kaustubh Ajgaonkar, Janslon Rodrigues, Eshani Shilker, Prajakta Borker received the second prize at the prestigious India International Science Festival under the category of “Atmanirbhar Bharat.” They are students of the Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering department at Padre Conceicao College of Engineering and implemented the prototype as a part of their final year project. They also presented and published their research work at the prestigious IEEE OCEANS 2020 (Virtual) Conference (Mississippi, USA). Their research paper was titled “Development of a Lifeguard assist Drone for coastal search and rescue.”

They were mentored by Shailesh Khanolkar and Enrich Braz, faculty members of the Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering department of PCCE.
