VISTEON CORPORATION SIGNS MOU WITH P.C.C.E., VERNA

Visteon Corporation, the global leader in automotive cockpit electronics, has signed an MOU with Padre Conceicao College of Engineering, Verna, and Goa Engineering College, Farmagudi, on 3^rd June 2022, for active collaboration through internships and skill development programmes.

The new expanded office was inaugurated by Dr. Pramod Sawant, Hon. Chief Minister of Goa, Mr. Rohan Khaunte, Hon. Minister for IT & Tourism and Mr. Sachin Lawande, Visteon’s President and CEO, along with Visteon’s executive team and India leadership team.

Rev. Fr. Agnelo Gomes, Director, Father Agnel Technical Education Complex, Dr. Mahesh Parappagoudar, Principal and Ms. Razia de Loyola Furtado e Sardinha, Training and Placement Officer attended the event. They had a personal interaction with Mr. Sachin Lawande, after which the MOU was signed by Fr. Agnelo Gomes and Mr. Sivakumar Songappan, Senior Director – Visteon, in his presence.

The chief guest of the inaugural function was Mr Deepak Chodankar ,Director, WisdomLab Synergies  Ltd who addressed the students on being competent and building the passion for engineering. The keynote speaker for the inaugural Mr Aaron Lobo, Manager and HR, Commscope India Pvt Ltd spoke on the topic “ The Engineer of 2050 “.The inaugural was graced by  Director of PCCE Rev Fr Agnelo Gomes, Asst Director Rev Fr Isaac Fernandes, Principal Dr Mahesh Parrapagoudar, Registrar Dr Stephen Barreto, Heads of Departments , Industry representatives , Alumni, staff and students of PCCE.

Techyon2k21 comprised of an ensemble of 30 events such as Code Crunch, Tech Masters, Codeathon and Contraption to name a few, each showcasing creativity at its best, signifying how to take innovation and technology to the next level. The association of companies Creative Capsule Infotech, SJ Innovation, Numadic, Imagine Works, Hexcoderz , Bidchat, Umang Software ,Zimetrics, Tangentia ,Fat Hampster Studio and others helped elevate Techyon2k21 through prize sponsorships and internship opportunities to students. Many events were conceptualized, planned and executed by the event associates setting new benchmarks for technical contests.

An array of workshops were conducted that enabled students to connect with resource persons from the industry and enrich their knowledge base. These training sessions garnered huge response in terms of participation and were well appreciated by all the attendees.
