BE ETC VISITS OPTEL, VERNA
On 24th April 2023, the Final-year students of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ETC) visited Optel, Verna for an industrial visit. They were accompanied by Prof. Sharlaine Nicole Monteiro and Prof. Sneha Kamble.
The students arrived at the company at 9:45 am. Upon arrival, the students were warmly welcomed by the company representative MS. Veda Padiyar.
The students were first given a presentation where, the employees introduced the company and company’s vision, mission, and core values. Students were given a detailed overview of company products and services, target market and competition. An insights into the company’s global operations, offices and projects around the world were also provided.
Students learnt about the advanced software and hardware solutions the company provides, and the cutting-edge technologies used to ensure the safety and reliability of their products.
Students were explained the design process and design analytics in detail. This was followed by company tour, where students were shown the production lines where the products were being assembled, the large storage rooms and machines used to store and maintain their products.
The field trip was an excellent opportunity for the ETC students to gain practical knowledge. The students gained insights into the complex machinery and precision required to manufacture the products. The tour of the plant was a valuable experience that would aid the students in their future endeavors.
