Demystifying SQL and No SQL

On February 13th, 2024, the EXACTAS council of the Electronic and Computer Engineering department orchestrated an enlightening session titled “Demystifying SQL and NoSQL.” The esteemed speaker for this event was Mr. Akshay Naik, Tech Lead at SJ Innovation. The session garnered active participation from students of the Electronic and Computer Engineering Department, who immensely benefited from Mr. Naik’s profound knowledge in Database Management Systems. Key concepts pertaining to both Relational Database Management System (SQL) and Non-Relational Database Management System (NoSQL) were elucidated in a comprehensive manner. Mr. Naik adeptly highlighted the distinguishing features of these database types and elucidated their respective functionalities. Through engaging discussions and demonstrations, students gained valuable insights into the widespread utilization of various database types across large industrial estates. This exposure provided students with a broader perspective on the relevance of their coursework in real-world scenarios.The session concluded on a high note with the presentation of certificates of completion to students who demonstrated outstanding performance in web development, in collaboration with SJ Innovation. Additionally, Mr. Sanjeet Kanekar, the faculty head of EXACTAS, extended a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to Mr. Naik for his informative session.
