Women's Day Celebration

On March 7th, 2024, the EXACTAS Council organized a Women’s Day celebration at the PCCE Auditorium. The event aimed to honour the achievements of students in the Department of Electronics & Computer and inspire collective action towards empowering women in society.
The event welcomed two esteemed women, Ms. Sameetha Dessai and Ms. Fiza Shaikh,who served as guest speakers. Both shared their inspiring success stories, enriching the audience with their experiences and insights.
Ms. Sameetha Dessai was also interviewed on her success as a woman entrepreneur. The interview shed light on her journey, challenges faced and insights gained in the entrepreneurial realm.
Ms. Fiza Shaikh, an alumna, spoke on her experiences in being part of the NGO ‘Smilekeepers Foundation’ and her responsibilities and contribution in the humanitarian field.
Conclusion
By showcasing the achievements of women and facilitating meaningful discussions, the event inspired the students to strive for gender equality and support women’s empowerment initiatives. Through the exchange of ideas, personal narratives, and collective engagement, the attendees gained an informative advice regarding women-led initiatives.
