MITHYA 2024

Date: 18th to 20th April’ 2024 

Venue: Padre Conceicao College of Engineering

“Mithya 2024,” the annual cultural festival of Padre Conceicao College of Engineering, unfolded from 18th to 20th April 2024.  Themed as “Cinevolution,” the three-day extravaganza was a fusion of cinema and evolution, offering a unique blend of entertainment and enlightenment.

The inauguration ceremony saw the presence of the renowned musician and vocalist, Mr. Vaibhav Gaonkar, whose talent and accomplishments added grandeur to the event’s opening. Over the course of three days, Mithya 2024 transformed the college campus into a vibrant hub of cultural expression. A diverse array of competitions including dance, singing, music, fashion, art, video-making, and drama captivated the audience. Well-known personalities from across the state served as judges, lauding the exceptional talent, passion, and dedication exhibited by the participants.

The Information Technology department emerged victorious, clinching the Mithya 2024 Trophy. Mr. Yash Mazumdar and Miss Shreya Sawant, both from the Computer Engineering Department secured the titles of Mr. PCCE and Miss. PCCE, respectively.

The valedictory function witnessed the presence of  Rev. Fr. Agnelo Gomes, Director of Agnel Technical Education Complex, Prof. Mahesh Parappagoudar, Principal of PCCE, and Heads of Department. Mithya 2024 was meticulously organized by the PCCE Cultural Committee and Students’ Council. The Cultural Committee comprised of Dr. Louella Mesquita Colaco (Chairperson), Mr. Gaurak Phaldessai (Asst. Prof. , Mechanical Dept.), Ms. Komal Paroolkar (Asst. Prof. , BSH Dept.) Ms. Megha Ainapurkar (Asst. Prof. , IT Dept.), Ms. Cynara Silveira (Asst. Prof. , Computer Dept.) and  Mr. Sanjeet Kanekar (Asst. Prof. , EComp Dept.). The Students’ Council played a pivotal role in the event’s execution, with Mr. Sherwin Afonso serving as the General Secretary,  Mr. Sufiyan Munshi as the Cultural Secretary, Mr. Shreyas Prabhukhanolkar as the Sports Secretary, Ms. Shayne Cardozo as Magazine Secretary, Ms. Aditi Chodankar as Ladies Representative and Mr. Gaurang Madkaikar as University Faculty Representative.. Department student coordinators contributed significantly to the smooth functioning of the festival.

“Mithya 2024” succeeded in providing a platform for students to showcase their talents and foster camaraderie. The event served as a testament to the college’s commitment to holistic development and cultural enrichment.
