Arduino Coding Workshop for Beginners

Organized by: RACE (Robotics, Automation, and Coding Engineers) Club, Padre Conceicao College of Engineering (PCCE)
Date: 29th August 2024

The RACE (Robotics, Automation, and Coding Engineers) Club of Padre Conceicao College of Engineering successfully organized an Arduino Coding Workshop for Beginners on 29th August 2024. The event aimed to introduce students to the fundamentals of Arduino
programming, enabling them to develop hands-on experience with embedded systems and automation.

Workshop Overview:
The workshop commenced with an introductory session on Arduino, covering its architecture, basic components, and applications in robotics and automation. The participants were given a live demonstration on setting up an Arduino board, writing basic programs, and interfacing with various sensors and actuators.

Key topics covered during the workshop included:
● Introduction to Arduino and its IDE
● Writing and uploading basic Arduino programs
● Interfacing LEDs, buzzers, and sensors
● Basics of motor control using Arduino
● Hands-on projects to reinforce learning

Participation and Engagement:
The event witnessed a huge turnout, with enthusiastic participation from students across different branches. Attendees actively engaged in hands-on activities, working in teams to develop mini-projects by the end of the session. The interactive Q&A session allowed participants to clarify their doubts and gain a deeper understanding of Arduino programming.

Success and Impact:
The workshop was a resounding success, receiving positive feedback from participants. Many students appreciated the structured approach and practical demonstrations, which helped them grasp Arduino coding concepts effectively. The event not only sparked interest in embedded systems but also encouraged students to explore further projects in automation and robotics.

The RACE Club extends its gratitude to the faculty coordinators, student volunteers, and participants for making this workshop a memorable and enriching experience. The club looks forward to organizing more such hands-on learning events in the future.
