During Aarush 2024, the ACE Council successfully organized a workshop titled “GenAI Proficiency and Corporate Career Navigation,” aimed at enhancing students’ understanding of the latest advancements in Generative AI and providing valuable insights into navigating corporate careers.

Welcome Address: The workshop commenced with a formal introduction by Ms. Riya Verlekar (BE Comp), who welcomed the attendees and provided a brief overview of the session. She introduced the speaker, Mr. Alston Dias, who is currently serving as a Lead Software Engineer at Persistent Systems. Mr. Dias is renowned for his expertise in software engineering and his contributions to the field of Generative AI.

Workshop: The central theme of the workshop revolved around mastering Generative AI tools and their applications in the corporate world. Mr. Dias conducted a hands-on session where participants got the opportunity to explore various cutting-edge tools, including ChatGPT, Gemini, Gamma, Excel Macros, Dot Store File, Leonardo AI, LaTeX, and Magic Slides. This interactive approach allowed students to gain practical experience and insights into the real-world applications of these tools.

In addition to the technical skills, Mr. Dias also shared valuable placement tips, offering guidance to engineering students on how to prepare effectively for their future careers. His advice was well-received, providing attendees with a clearer understanding of what employers seek in prospective candidates.
