Workshop on “Source-Code Management”

The Association of Computer Engineers organized an industry workshop for Aarush 2024. Mr. Eknath Divakar, a second-year computer engineering student, initiated the session by welcoming the distinguished speaker, Mr. Snehal Naik.
The session began with an illuminating introduction to Source Code Management. He delved into the comprehensive explanation of Source code versioning & the control system that keeps the record of changes like Git, TFSSVN. Key topics included about Git, Git Basic Terminologies, Git workflow, its uses mechanism. He further proceeded with the distinction between Git & Git Hub. The session seamlessly transitioned into an interactive phase, where students actively engaged in practical exercises with the understanding of theoretical concepts by Mr. Yash who taught stepwise basic working of Git Hub. Further Mr. Devesh & Mr. Mohit and the members of the entire team, enlightened throughout the practical session and addressed the queries of students. The workshop was wound up by a Group activity.
Ms. Vaishnavi Nayak, a second-year computer engineering student, delivered a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the speaker for his invaluable insights and expertise on Source Code Management, as well as extending thanks to all attendees for their enthusiastic participation.
