SE ECOMP Visits Zimetrics
On our recent field visit to Zimetrics, we were introduced to the company’s operations, project development processes, and technological practices through a series of presentations and an office tour. The session began with an introduction by Mr. Omkar, who provided an overview of Zimetrics. He explained that Zimetrics is a service-based technology company specializing in customer requirement analysis, designing solutions, and implementing projects in areas such as IoT, Big Data, Data Science, Data Engineering, Mobility Applications, and AI tools for enterprise application integration. He emphasized the company’s commitment to understanding client needs, designing appropriate solutions, and presenting the results to stakeholders.
Following this, Mr. Dinesh, a Technical Architect working on projects in the media domain, delivered the first detailed presentation. He elaborated on: – The process of analyzing customer requirements and designing implementations accordingly. – The role of IoT, Big Data, and Data Science in building intelligent solutions. – Data engineering activities such as sourcing data, storing it in data warehouses, and sharing it securely. – Developing mobile applications to enhance business mobility. – Using AI tools to integrate and improve enterprise applications. Dinesh further discussed the typical process of a project at Zimetrics, from requirement gathering to final delivery, and shared insights into a specific project in the media domain. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, where students clarified their doubts about the project workflow and technologies used.
The second session was led by Mr. Joshua (Senior Practice Lead), Mr. Ronak (Senior Software Engineer), and Mr. Jeetendra. They provided valuable insights into how enterprise applications are built, covering: – The use of React for building user interfaces. – Redux and other state management tools essential for managing application data efficiently. – Microservices Architecture explained by Mr. Jeetendra, highlighting how applications can be built as a collection of loosely coupled services, improving scalability and maintainability. Ronak also explained key concepts in cloud computing, including: – Hosting and managing applications and servers. – An overview of essential AWS services that enable scalable and efficient application deployment.
These sessions provided a strong understanding of modern enterprise application development, microservices architecture, and the integration of cloud services in the IT industry. The field visit concluded with an office tour conducted by Mr. Arshad Talaulikar, who showed us around the Zimetrics workplace. We got an inside look at the professional environment where teams collaborate on high-end technology projects.
