Hands-On Arduino Workshop for COMP & CSE students
The Robotics, Automation, and Coding Engineers (RACE) Club organized and conducted an Arduino workshop for the Computer Engineering and Computer Science Engineering students on August 9, 2025, at PCCE.
The workshop commenced at 9:30 am in EComp Lab 5, with the Assistant Professor Mrs. Rohini Korti, addressing the students about the club and introducing them to the objectives of the day’s workshop.
The session covered both theoretical concepts and hands-on practical training, conducted by the RACE Club members. They played a key role in guiding their peers through programming the Arduino and integrating it with a variety of modules and sensors, including an ultrasonic sensor with LED array feedback, an LM35 temperature sensor with a LCD for a digital thermometer, an LDR with a servo motor for automatic blinds control, and an LED chaser programmed with multiple patterns. In the second half of the workshop the participants demonstrated the knowledge learnt by interfacing different input sensors with different output sensors.
Refreshments were provided by the ECOMP department during the 10:30 am and 3:30 pm breaks, ensuring an engaging and comfortable learning environment for all participants.
The workshop received an enthusiastic response from the students and was deemed a great success. Based on this positive outcome, the RACE Club plans to organize an advanced-level Arduino workshop shortly.
