BLIND CODING CHALLENGE
The ACE (Association of Computer Engineers) Student Chapter of Padre Conceicao college of engineering organized an exciting coding contest – The Blind Coding Challenge on 19th April 2022. . The competition took place between 2 to 4 pm in Computer Lab1. The event recorded an attendance of 18 students form the second and third-year computer engineering department. The student coordinators for the event were Mr. Aayush Anand and Ms. Suhana Kamat, both students of T.E. Computers.
At the beginning of the event Mr. Aayush Anand explained the rules of the competition to the participants. The participants were then asked to write a program for the given questions within an hour without the help of their IDE debugging tool. It was an hour of intense competition and the participants jostled with the questions to crack the right answer. They racked their brains, scribbled algorithms on paper and tried their best to earn the coveted prize money of Rs.1000/-. ACE committee members Mr. Vedang Rane and Ms. Rhea Sharma (T.E. Computers) helped to seamlessly conduct the event.
In the end, Mr. Advait from T.E. Computers won the first position with both his programs running flawlessly. Ms. Swizel Liza from T.E. Computers and Mr. Livio from S.E. Computers also performed exceptionally well. The event concluded with Mr. Advait receiving the prize money at the hands of Dr. Anusha Pai, HOD – Computer Engineering Department, and a vote of thanks by Ms. Vipula Sail from SE Computers. The faculty coordinators for the event were Ms. Louella Mesquita Colaco and Ms. Meghana Pai Kane.
