Low-Code App Development with OutSystems
On 10th November 2022 a workshop was organized by the ACE student council on “Low-Code App Development with OutSystems”. The following topics were covered:
• Topic 1: Introduction to Low-Code App Development, What and Why?
• Topic 2: Hand-on: Building Your First Application
• Topic 3: Path to Become Certified OutSystems Developer and Unlock Job Opportunities.The duration of the workshop was 90 minutes and it was held in COMP LAB 5.
The resource person was Mr. Yashraj Nayak, who is the APAC Community Growth Manager at OutSystems, Bengaluru – Karnataka. He was introduced to the ACE faculty coordinators by Mr. Shailesh Khanolkar, Head of RDCC, PCCE.
Mr. Yashraj Nayak gave a brief introduction about low-code applications and its importance. He introduced the OutSystems platform. He guided students to build their first simple management mobile application to get an idea about low-code development. The steps to become a successful OutSystems certified developer were discussed, which included building your first app, self-paced online learning, building real world applications and answering the certification exam. The session was quite interactive and received an enthusiastic response from the students. At the end of the event, a token of appreciation was presented to Mr. Nayak by Dr. Anusha Pai, HOD of the Computer Engineering department. It was an amazing and informative session. The session
gave the students a hands-on experience with OutSystems.
