PRACTICAL WEB AND APP DEVELOPMMENT WORKSHOP

The PCCE ACM Student Chapter organized and conducted a practical workshop on web and app development on 30th August, 2024. The workshop was a part of AARUSH 2024 – The annual PCCE Industry-Academia Symposium that aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practices. The session took place from 11:15 AM to 1:15 PM in Computer Lab 2 and was well-attended by Third Year Computer Engineering students.

The workshop was led by Mr. Gourish Bhat, an accomplished entrepreneur and Founder of Gyrono Tech. Mr. Bhat began the session by sharing his expertise and insights into the core principles of web technologies, emphasizing their real-world applications. He then provided a step-by-step guide on using Xampp to set up a local server and develop a web application by integrating PHP and HTML5. His practical approach enabled students to gain hands-on experience, enhancing their understanding of how these technologies can be utilized to create dynamic web applications.

The workshop was highly appreciated by the students, who found it incredibly informative and valuable for building their technical skills. The interactive nature of the session allowed them to engage directly with the concepts, making it a productive learning experience.

The faculty coordinators for the event were Dr. Louella M. Colaco, Ms. Meghana Pai Kane and Ms. Lindsey Colaco. The student coordinators for the event were Mr. Leander Faleiro and Mr. Sohan Takkekar, both students of TE Computers.
