PLANTATION DRIVE
The Association of Computer Machinery (ACM) P.C.C.E. Student Chapter successfully organized a plantation drive on Friday, March 21, 2025, to commemorate World Forest Day. The event took place at 11:00 a.m. within the premises of Padre Conceicao College of Engineering (P.C.C.E.) and aimed to promote environmental awareness and sustainability among students and faculty.
The plantation drive saw enthusiastic participation from students of P.C.C.E., along with faculty members from the Computer Department and the Principal of the college. The initiative encouraged active involvement in environmental conservation, emphasizing the role of afforestation in maintaining ecological balance.
As part of the event, handouts containing seeds of various fruits, flowers, and vegetables were distributed to the participants. This effort aimed to inspire individuals to cultivate greenery in their surroundings and contribute to a healthier environment.
The event was well-received and successfully achieved its objective of spreading awareness about the significance of trees and sustainable living. The ACM student chapters efforts were highly appreciated, making the plantation drive a meaningful and impactful initiative within the college community. The faculty coordinators for the event were Dr. Louella M. Colaco and Ms. Meghana Pai Kane.
