BLOOD DONATION CAMP
On March 20th, 2025, the National Service Scheme (NSS) Cell of Padre Conceicao College of Engineering (PCCE) collaborated with the Lions Club of Nuvem to organize a successful Blood Donation Camp in association with the Blood bank of Goa Medical College, Bambolim. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation and encourage students and faculty to contribute to saving lives. The camp saw active participation from both the college community and the local Lions Club, who provided necessary medical and logistical support. The event featured a smooth process from registration to post-donation care, with medical professionals ensuring the safety and comfort of each donor.
A total of 65 individuals, including students and staff members, participated in the camp, contributing approximately 53 units of blood to local blood banks. In addition to the blood donation, the event included an informative session on the significance of regular blood donations and its life-saving potential. The success of the event highlighted the spirit of community service and social responsibility among the participants, and the collaboration between PCCE’s NSS Cell and the Lions Club of Nuvem was highly appreciated. The event not only helped meet the immediate blood requirements of local hospitals but also fostered a sense of collective responsibility in the college community.
