The Association of Computer Engineers (ACE) of Padre Conceição College of Engineering (P.C.C.E.) successfully conducted its Installation Ceremony for the academic year 2025-26 on Friday, August 8, 2025. The event commenced at 2:00 PM in the P.C.C.E. Auditorium and marked the induction of the newly elected council members.

The ceremony began with the formal oath-taking by the Core Council, comprising President Mr. Leander Faleiro (BE Comp), Vice-President Mr. Shane Remedios (TE Comp), Secretary Mr. Shrain Dhavjekar (BE Comp), and Public Relations Officer Mr. Sohan Takkekar (BE Comp). This was followed by the induction of the Executive Members: Comperes Ms. Gracy Prakash (SE Comp) and Mr. Ruben Pinheiro (SE Comp), Design Team Members Ms. Kaitlyn Fernandes (SE Comp) and Mr. Harshal Salunke (SE Comp), and Event Coordinators Mr. Mohammed Hussain Shaikh (TE Comp) and Mr. Tejas Kale (TE Comp).

Following the installation, the students attended a seminar delivered by Dr. Hector Andrade, medicinal plant conservationist and former Principal of Mercedes-Benz International School, Pune. His talk, titled “Interconnectedness: Understanding Our Place in Nature,” explored themes such as the balance of People, Planet, and Profit, the role of biomimicry in innovation, and the importance of ethics in sustainable practices. The engaging session left the audience of Second Year Computer Engineering students with a deeper understanding of humanity’s responsibility toward the environment and society.

A memento was presented to Dr. Andrade as a token of gratitude for sharing his valuable insights. The event then continued with the announcement of the launch of Google Forms by Secretary Mr. Shrain Dhavjekar for entries to the annual ACE magazine. This year’s theme, “Societal and Environmental Responsibility in Engineering Practice,” aims to encourage engineers to embrace their role in building a greener tomorrow.

The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by ACE President Mr. Leander Faleiro, expressing gratitude to the guest speaker, faculty, and students for their active participation and support.
