The Association of Computer Engineers (ACE) of Padre Conceição College of Engineering (P.C.C.E.) organized its second event of the academic year on Wednesday, August 14, 2025. The seminar, titled “Building Security from the Ground Up: ISO 27001 and Information Security Frameworks”, was held in collaboration with the National Digital Library of India (NDLI).
The session was conducted by Ms. Avelet Fernandes, Cyber Risk & Assurance Senior Manager at GlaxoSmithKline, UK, and a proud alumna of P.C.C.E. She delivered an engaging and interactive session to the Third Year Computer Engineering students, addressing their questions and providing real-world insights into the importance of ISO 27001 and information security practices in today’s digital landscape.
The event was hosted by Mr. Mohammed Hussain Shaikh (TE Comp), who skilfully anchored the proceedings. A memento and a bouquet were presented to Ms. Avelet Fernandes as a gesture of appreciation.
The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Hussain, who acknowledged the speaker, faculty, and students for contributing to the success of the event. The session was highly appreciated by the attendees and provided valuable knowledge on strengthening security practices in engineering and industry.
