Admissions to First Year of Engineering
Eligibility and merit
The applicant should have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate examination of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and one of Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Technical Vocational / Computer Science/Information Technology/Information Practices/Agriculture/Engineering Graphics/Business Studies/Entrepreneurship, and secured not less than 45% marks in the aggregate of Physics and Mathematics and one of the above subjects (40% for SC/ST/OBC students). Percentage aggregate marks greater than 0.5% will be rounded off to the next higher percent. Consequently, applicants from General category with aggregate marks of 134/300 in specified subjects, and applicants from SC/ST/OBC category with aggregate marks of 119/300 in specified subjects are eligible.
The applicant should have a valid score at JEE Main of the respective admission year. JEE scores of previous years are not valid.

Admissions to Second Year of Engineering
(Lateral Entry for Diploma students / B Sc. students)
Eligibility and merit
The applicant should have passed Diploma in Engineering in the relevant branch with minimum of 45% (40% for SC/ST/OBC students) aggregate marks at the Diploma course examination conducted by the Goa Board of Technical Education or an equivalent examination, conducted by a recognized Board of Technical Education in India or abroad.
OR
The applicant should have passed Bachelor of Science Degree with Mathematics as a subject at XII Std. and with minimum of 45% (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC students) marks in the aggregate (Final Year) from Goa University. Note: Vacant seats if any under Lateral Entry in Direct Second Year shall be available for admissions to eligible B.Sc. Degree holders only after seats are offered first to eligible Diploma holders.
